	I have never tried any type of drawing, coloring, or painting, with crayons, fingers, or brushes, that I didn't enjoy. There are so many ways to apply color to so many different surfaces, we could be here all day listing them. I have most enjoyed watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil, colored markers, and pen and ink.

	I've included a few samples of my work on this page, I hope you enjoy. Please respect my copyright to these drawings. If you are interested in using an image you must obtain my written permission.

Illustration is a tremendous challenge to the creative process. The process begins with story boarding a manuscript to map out the text and the illustrations to the number of pages in the final book. Story boarding begins by working with the author to find out what events in the manuscript are most important to the story. Many times this is simply gathering the images that pop into your mind when you read the text. The challenge is to create an illustration that accurately portray each event with enough interest to entertain the reader and help them enjoy the story.

	I was introduced to working with clay several years ago and immediately knew I had found a very creative media for my talents. I am able to use my love of flowing shapes, unique textures and vivid color to create sculptures and items not possible in a two-dimensional media. Each new creation starts with a lump of clay that transforms into whatever springs from my imagination. Dragons, fairies, flowers, mountain cabins, fish, and other works derived from nature and my own fancy.

	The most interesting aspect of working with clay is the combination of the sculpture itself and the many ways the piece can be glazed and fired. Opening the kiln after a firing is a thrilling event. Removing each piece to find what the glaze has created. I am self taught so I have made mistakes, learned lessons and refined my skills with each work.

Graphic Design has been my passion since I was a little girl. I loved magazine ads, books, logos, and calligraphy. With a few years of high school print shop training I was able to get a job with a local printer, later working for advertising agencies, publishing companies, in-house marketing departments and newspapers I developed my talents into a profession I have enjoyed for many years.

In 2000 I started my graphic design company Magic Graphix. I create logos, corporate branding and all types of literature, catalogs, annual reports, newsletters, advertising and web sites for a diverse range of individuals, small businesses, nonprofit organizations and corporations.

I have also had the opportunity to work with many wonderful authors, creating illustrations, book covers, and page layout design for their publications. Working closely with my partner and husband we offer services to authors through our company Help Publish. 	With the introduction of the Internet I have found a new and exciting media for my creative talents. With the Internet's ability to reach a worldwide audience, I have had the opportunity to work with clients from around the globe to create web sites for this revolutionary new means of communication. Web sites offer individuals, small business and large corporations the means to provide information about themselves, their companies, products and services, to a worldwide audience. I also like the fact that there are no natural resources needed to work in this new digital media,. no trees to cut down, no chemicals to pollute our environment.
